The Cube of Josh

I did this one for an old friend of mine! I had a couple of issues. One, I made the cube too large, which resulted in a small decrease in awesomeness. I also spelt 'Cucumber' wrong, which is embarrassing.

Birthday-ness for Eli

So here is felt birthday card number two. This one took me FOR EVER to do! Especially because of the metalic thread. I had never used the stuff before... it's like stitching with tinsel and it caused me a considerable amount of rage. But it did turn out pretty nice, though I think the felt could have been darker or the thread could have been lighter. The blanket stitch around the edge wasn't supposed to be yellow, it was supposed to be red. Unfortunately I misjudged my embroidery floss stocks, thinking I had red, but ended up having every other colour!

Birthday-ness for Amanda!

So last week I had an idea to make felted/embroidered Birthday Cards. After two of them I decided they were a tremendous amount of work... but they do look pretty awesome. With this project, I have CONQUERED THE BLANKET STITCH! Thank you internet!

Bar of Felt Chocolate!

Awesome!

Chocolate Bar!

Wrapper without bar inside of it.

Back of wrapper. Buttoned up! I realized, only after the fact, that there were much better ways to put the wrapper together. But live and learn, I suppose.

I stitched the recipient's name onto the bottom corner.

Chocolate peeking out! I just realized I didn't get a picture of just the chocolate bar. But I made a simple rectangular wire frame for him and stitched on a wee face and seems where squares of chocolate would be!

Finished product! Chocolate bar & wrapper! Constructed from felt!

Secret Project 2!

OOOoooo!! So Secret!
I'm doing this one by hand and not with the sewing machine, because at this point its actually FASTER to hand stitch it. I'd end up wrecking like... 7 of them by using a sewing machine.
